Our Story
A Quiet Revolution in a Cup
In Chengdu, tea is more than a drink — it’s a way of life, connecting nature, culture, and people for over several thousand years, from the ancient Tea Horse Road to today’s teahouses.

Founder’s Story
In my homeland, tea is fresh, pure, and unhurried. Yet much of what I saw in the global market was far from this — overly processed, filled with artificial flavors, or sealed in single-use plastic. I wondered: what if I could share Chinese tea as it’s meant to be — naturally grown, traditionally crafted, rich in real flavor, and gentle on the planet? When I shared this vision with my friend Chen Hua — a tea trader with over twenty years’ experience — he simply smiled: “The finest teas are in China. You’d better get them from me.” And so, HermTEA began.

We source only from China’s most renowned tea origins — much like France’s celebrated wine regions — to capture the truest expression of flavor. Our teas come from remote, ecologically protected mountains where air, water, and soil remain pristine. In these scenic, secluded gardens, tea plants are nurtured with organic practices and time-honored craftsmanship, preserving their pure and classic character. Grown without synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or additives, each leaf is hand-harvested and crafted in small batches using traditional methods. We never use flavorings or shortcuts — what you taste is simply what the land and tea masters naturally create. From mountain to cup, we safeguard the integrity of every tea, honoring both its heritage and its purity.

Our Vision
At HermTEA, we don’t just sell tea — we preserve tradition, create moments of pause, and reconnect people with what’s quietly essential. Through every cup, we bridge the old and the new, inviting the world to discover Chinese tea as a timeless ritual and living cultural legacy. Whether it’s your first taste or a renewed encounter, we’re honored to be part of your journey. Every cup is a quiet invitation: slow down, steep your senses, and return to what matters.
