Our Story

The Living Heritage of Tea
For over five thousand years, tea has been more than a drink in China — it has been a living heritage, woven into the rhythm of daily life.
From the misty mountains where ancient tea trees first grew, to the bustling caravans along the Tea Horse Road, tea has connected people, cultures, and time itself.
In the Tang dynasty, monks brewed tea to find clarity of mind; in the Song, scholars elevated it into an art of refinement. Along mountain paths and imperial halls alike, tea became a shared language — one of hospitality, calm, and grace.
Through centuries of change, tea remained constant: a pause amid chaos, a thread linking generations, a quiet way to meet the world and oneself.
Even today, in the hum of modern cities, tea continues to shape how people breathe, slow down, and find balance — not as ceremony, but as presence.
To the Chinese, tea is not just something to drink — it is a way of being.

Founder’s Story
In my homeland, tea is fresh, pure, and unhurried. But in the global market, I saw something different — tea that was processed, flavored, and far from nature.
I began to wonder: what if Chinese tea could be shared as it truly is?Naturally grown, carefully crafted, and kind to the planet. When I shared this idea with my friend Chen Hua, a tea trader with over twenty years of experience, he smiled and said,“The finest teas are in China — and you should get them from me.”
So we did.Together, we source directly from China’s most renowned tea mountains, where the air and soil stay pure. Each leaf is hand-picked and crafted in small batches, with no additives or shortcuts.
Only the quiet perfection of nature and tradition — from mountain to cup.
And so, HermTEA began — not from business, but from respect and love for real tea.
